His resume includes teaching courses for institutions like the University of Buffalo Computer Science Department and Division of Micro Computer Education, ITT Technical Institute, The United States Postal Service, The United States Air Force and in his own training center, which was located in his previous venture, Common Grounds Internet Café and on-site with hundreds of companies and individuals.

I am takeing a couple of semesters off from teaching. Though I enjoy teaching, I am too busy with the web site design business to teach.

I am planning on offering a series of on-line courses on this site.

Here are a couple free lessons to give you an idea of what they will be like:

Course Descriptions
Photoshop Basics (8 hours), $150.00 per person Limit - 8 Students

It is a well-known fact that Photoshop is the most essential tool of any designer. It is invaluable for photo manipulation and Web design.

In this course students learn to use the basic tools of Adobe Photoshop. You will learn some of the tools used by professional designers around the world. You will start with basic tools like the paintbrush and rubber stamp and go all the way through making a collage of images with seamless blends and special effects. You will also learn the difference between many different file formats and resolutions and how to optimize your pictures for the Web and e-mail.

Advanced Photoshop (4 hours), $75.00 per person Limit - 8 Students

This course picks up where Photoshop Basics leaves off. Some of the topics covered are: masks, paths, overlays, effective use of filters and plug-ins. You will go through the process of creating some more complicated projects and in the process learn the tips and tricks of the masters!

Basic Web Design (8 hours)
If you want to design or maintain your own web site without the use or MS Front Page or Dream Weaver then this class is for you. This course covers the basics of designing browser-friendly, streamlined web sites with HTML. We explore fundamentals like formatting text, creating bulleted and numbered lists, referencing images, and the many ways of using links. You will also learn effective use of tables and good versus bad design techniques. When you have completed this class, you will have the knowledge to develop code in HTML and upload your site using an FTP program. Note: If you do not know Photoshop then you should take that class too! Every Web designer needs Photoshop.

Advanced Web Design (8 hours)
In this hands-on course students will create animated gifs, image maps, and forms. You will also implement basic cgi-scripts, javascripts and pull-down menus. We will explore the process of capturing audio and video content and publishing it to the Web. Finally, we will discuss great resources for continued development of your skills.

Search Engine Marketing: (2 hours)
Once you have a web site developed you need to tell people about it. There are the obvious methods like putting it on your business cards, letterhead, promotional materials and the like. But it is also important to submit your site to the most popular search engines on the Internet so that people doing a general search for companies like yours can find you on-line.

In this course we cover meta-tags, keyword embedding, keyword density analysis, side door pages, and key word bidding. You'll learn the tools to find out which words or phrases are the most popular and how to focus in on getting to the top. You'll learn the free methods of getting listed as well as where to put your money for guaranteed top listings.
